Who Am I? WHO AM I??
My name is Michele McDonald and I am a recent graduate of the University of Dayton with a B.S. in Adolescent to Young Adult Social Studies Education and minors in German and History. RIght before graduation, I was lucky enough to receive a Fulbright Grant to teach English in Thailand for this upcoming school year. I will be fully immersed in Thai culture and will serve as a cultural ambassador for the United States as well as an English teacher. I will be teaching English to grades 5-9 in a southern province of Thailand, Nakorn Si Thammarat, at Rachprachanukroh 8 School. Not only will I be teaching, but I also plan on participating in Thailand's national sport, Muay Thai kickboxing. As an avid and dedicated martial artist, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to train in the homeland of this art. I will also be traveling throughtout Southeast Asia in order to learn more about the history and culture than is often ignored in most history classes. Naturally, I will be eating copious amounts of food. Please follow on my English teaching, martial arts training, and plateloads of Asian food eating Thai-venture!
